Charities are Working Against Trump’s Racist Agenda

Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey began their path in altruism after an incident with Joe Arpaio, the Sheriff of Maricopa County. Joe Arpaio was less than reasonable during his time as sheriff, arresting people illegally and intimidating his political opponents.

Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey were victimized by Arpaio when they were arrested for their journalistic efforts. The newspapermen started The Frontera Fund, a charitable organization that works to better the lives of Hispanics and Hispanic-Americans. Jim and Michael assist Hispanics simply because Joe Arpaio targeted Hispanics. As fellow victims of Arpaio, they can relate.

The Frontera Fund works along side the ACLU, Aliento, and many other prominent immigrant focused charities. Michael and Jim have also provided immigrants and potential immigrants with educational reading material on The Frontera Fund website.

This organization is working to directly combat Trump’s Muslim ban. They have also partnered with HBO and Game Of Thrones to provide relief for the refugees of the Syrian Civil War. The Game of Thrones casts urges their fans to “Rise Up. Stand with us” in the new ad campaign.

With Republicans in control of both houses of congress, this is the only way the people of America can speak up against the immoral viewpoints of Donald Trump towards non-Americans.
